Please join us at our next general meeting in July.

Become a Member for only $20.00 Belize per year!

How?
Download and print this form and return completed with your fee to Jane Beard c/o British High Commission OR bring it along to our monthly meetings or contact us for further information. Cheques should be made payable to BIWG.

Why should you join?

100% of your $20.00 membership fee goes towards our Outreach projects in the Cayo District. As a member you may propose worthy cases for consideration for funding. By attending meetings, you assist with further fundraising and meet other like-minded ladies, not just from Cayo, but from all-over Belize. You will be the first to know about our fabulous fundraising activities, the Annual Dinner Dance, Annual Bazaar, raffles, auctions, trips, special offers from Member's Businesses, social occasions, special meetings… the list goes on You can bring your own guests to our meetings, you can receive top-rate advertising on our website for very reasonable fees, you will receive updates of all of our outreach cases, and there may be the odd 'members only' special event - not to be missed!

What can I do as a member?

  • Join the Executive Committee: elections held every November at the AGM: fundraising, hospitality and administration assistance always welcome.
  • Recruit new members: 2008 saw our membership swell to 147 ladies; that is $2940 of funds received, just by collecting membership fees.
  • Be the eyes and ears of the group: we need each and every member to be on the lookout for worthy causes in the Cayo district - often the individual cases get overlooked by the lager organisations: BIWG is here to fill that gap, but we need all of our members to be vigilant.
  • Help with fundraising: we need committees to organise the Dinner Dance and the Annual Bazaar (our two biggest fundraisers) plus solicit prizes for raffles and auctions throughout the year.
  • Outreach: we need ladies to visit schools, hospitals and homes - to assess projects, to report back to the membership and advise on funding allocation.
  • Administration: we need members to help with the day to day running of the group, to write letters, beg for books, for clothing and for medicines, to keep our membership informed of the group's progress, send updates to the webmaster… the list of possible tasks is endless.

You can be as involved as you like, or simply be a social member.
