Read the December 2011 Newsletter Aims of the BIWG The Group shall foster pleasant relations among women residing in Belmopan & the Cayo district and promote understanding. i) It shall endeavor to assist members by introducing them to various aspects of Belizean life. ii) It shall assist, as much as possible, welfare projects in the Belmopan & Cayo area. iii) The Group shall be non-political and non-sectarian.

Whether you are member or 'just browsing' your input is what makes the group work. Books Wanted: English language children's books for donation to local schools and libraries. Anything. Clothes Wanted: For the Belmopan Hospital project. BIWG will provide a change of clothes for underprivileged children who come into the hospital for emergency or scheduled treatment often with only the clothes on their back. The mothers of new-born babies - particularly those born prematurely, often have nothing. Please bring any donations along to meetings and the items will be stored until the hospital requests assistance. A Message from the President Thank you for visiting the BIWG Web Page where you will have the opportunity to learn more about who we are and what we do. We invite you to join us if you live in Belmopan and its environs or if you will be relocating from abroad. The BIWG has a membership of 110 women some of whom have returned to their homeland or other countries abroad. Our Group is unique in its mandate which is to provide a social forum where women who are newcomers to life in Belmopan and its surrounding areas can meet other women and can become involved in community activities. At the same time they are afforded the opportunity to support and participate in our programmes that assist our marginalized women and children.

Please join us at our monthly meetings that take place on the first Wednesday of every month. Once you come, you will immediately experience the warmth and welcoming environment that is the Belmopan International Women's Group.
