The buffet was sumptuous: turkey, ham, pork, shrimp, rice, salads, pastas: the BIWG Ladies excelled themselves and everyone was extremely satisfied. The décor had to be seen to be believed: one lady exclaimed “I’m no longer in Belmopan!” The George Price Centre had been transformed into a cruise ship, with elegant tables, the sea just visible through the portholes and beautiful starry sky above. A special thank you to Commander John Borland who stoically stood by to welcome on board our very bizarre array of passengers. And finally of course, the whole point of the evening: thanks to the generosity of sponsors and donors, we managed to separate our passengers from $23,417 of their hard-earned dollars, which after expenses means that the BIWG bank account now stands at $32,414 Well done us all!
